2010 Paper

The goal of this paper is to show you that the Declaration of Independence really was a Christian document, despite what many may say. I found this quite difficult to do because I could find no book that dared claim the Declaration a Christian document (at least not in more than a few words). Thus, to prove that it was a Christian document I had to form an argument that was entirely my own and not depend on the work of others before me.

Here are the links to my paper in nice bite sized chunks.

Introduction

The Christian Declaration

The Christian Origins

The Christian Nation

Opposing view and Conclusion

Appendix’s

You couldn’t?? Wow, that is surprising. Did you check out all of Wallbuilder’s books? They have a ton that defend that position. I will read this article as soon as I get around to it. :)

I didn’t check all of the Wallbuilder books, but I did check quite a few. I actually read one book, but it only had a page or two defending the Declaration. If you could tell me the name of some of the books that defend the Declaration I would be very grateful.

Get anything by Herb Titus. The guy is amazing, one of my heroes (I want to get connected with him and convince him to mentor me :) ). He wrote a book called The Declaration of Independence: The Christian Legacy. The title sums it up. :D
